Textures

ART is about seeing the things around you and really inspecting every detail. One may not realize that there’s art in textures. When you hear the word “texture” you may automatically think about the feel of a fabric or the roughness of the surface of a rock. Texture is also very visual. An artist can translate the feel of a texture visually. If the artist does a good job, the texture on the page will elicit a tactile sensation in the brain. So, in a sense you are “feeling” the texture on the page without even touching it. Though if you touched the image above which I have drawn you will only feel the waxy surface of the colored pencil that was used for the images.

The only thing I felt after drawing all these textures was numb!
