InDesign Presentation
I figured out that I used four Adobe products to complete this project: XD, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop!
For the final presentation I had to use Photoshop to do a mockup of the phone with the icon visible. I imported the finished phone mockup and copied it for as many times as I used the phone. I exported my app pages from XD as jpgs and retrofitted them onto each and every phone screen.
I took many hours arranging phones, sizing and resizing them on the page that made sense and had an easy flow to them. I was exacting in my measurements and layout. The pages started out just white with the phones on them but I felt that I needed to spice it up a bit. I played around with background colors and settled on a mellow yellow because the contrast was better than some of the other colors in my color scheme. I still thought the background was still very plain and needed a little more backdrop. I really liked the examples that had a little more going on in the background, but I had to make it subtle. I created a golf ball image in illustrator with a green hue and dialed the opacity way down for the interior pages but used a higher opacity for the cover and back cover pages.
I tried to include a working version of the Golf Buddy app in my blog but for some reason the code would not stick. Hopefully the video above is good enough for now, at least.
